t3/t4 on es lancer

i was wondering how much it would cost to put on a custom setup for a t3/t4 on my es lancer. iv seen one with the hybrid turbo before on ebay it was doing 14s on stock internals and injectors. and what other things would i need to put on my car for this type of setup besides the turbo b.o.v intercooler manifold and piping

Are you sure that the t3/t4 will fit the clearence of the rad fans... im not too sure but i think either you'll cut it extremely close or it wont fit period. unless u get 2 puller fans on both ousides of the rad.... hobi.. your input?

it depends on wheres it positioned as far as fitment goes, im 99.9% sure hobies turbo isnt on top of his exhaust manifold like most other setups, but your also goign to need a good wastegate, but this has been gone over a hundred times, if you want to run a turbo your going to need FUEL, fmu, fuel pump, injectors, along with all the many workings of clamps and such, oil return line, um yea

Do you have the rpms to support a t3/t4? Yes, you have the min liter to run it, but there isn't rpm to fully run it effectively.

SR20's and DSM runs them. How many RPMs do they have?

It's like putting a GT28 on a 3 cyl metro. Tons of wasted energy.

The limiter can be effectively raised to accomodate larger turbos (mine's set at a VERY conservative 6,500 and RRM sets theres at 7,000 and I'm assuming they did some extensive testing on that).

There's a person or two running a t3/t4 on these forums but um...if all you're looking for is 14's, you may as well run at T28 or (at most) a T3. If your hp/time slip goals aren't set too high, there's really no need to go any bigger than a T28. You'll also have a bit of lag with a larger turbo most likely.

Anyway...good luck.

Cost could be anywhere from $3,000-$6,000 depending upon cost of labor and parts.

How much power can the internals handle on these USDM lancers?

Tuned properly you can get 9 psi. Thats tuned perfectly with an intercooler. But a 7lb setup will do OK without an intercooler.

whenever i do my GT25R upgrade on my 240, i'll sell my old T25 to ya

custom work is never cheap, and nobody's gonna be able to tell you how much you're going to spend. you'll just have to price the components. start your search at cheapturbo.com and begin working from there. I agree with bahamut that the lancer barely meets the displacement and rev capabilities needed to run a T3/T4, so you may want to look at a smaller turbo. Garrett makes a T28 called the disco potato and it's currently in garrett's company sentra and in SCC's project silvia. unfortunately, the turbo itself is expensive

I dont think there are lancers running 9psi with stock internals... even RRM doesnt set them that high... I believe they use 7 with an IC on stock, but for higher they suggest upgrading rods/pistons..if you have an auto, without an ic you shouldnt go higher than 5, with an ic no higher than 7 because the tranny might not hold up well after that
