Lancer ES Engine

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES and I was wondering if I would be able to take the engine out of an Eclipse GST and put it in my Lancer ES. Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Please use the search feature on the site. There is only one sucessfull engine swap that I know of in North America. The swap cost 10,000 CDN. Its really not worth the money, either buy a wrecked ralliart for a swap or a rrm turbo kit.

jesus, he didnt ask for any engine swap, he asked about and eclipse gst. if you dont have the exact answer then dont give any input. I searched and still didnt get an exact answer cause everyone gets the same answer on every engine swap "no its not worth it" or "try searching cause this has been asked a lot" when in all actuality thats all you get from searching is unanswered questions. This is the closest i found:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...st+engine+swap

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...st+engine+swap

Again, none have a definate answer

the 4g64 is the engine i beleive ur wishing to transplant... its possible but ud need a full tranny swap and engine harness along with a new ecu and i believe only one engine mount matches up from what ive heard.. correct me if im wrong

but imean it is a better engine platform.... still sohc i think but better to turbo hell 25 torque and some hp is nice, plus the torque comes on a lot earlier in the curve *ty rhyzin*

if u wanna do it ... go ahead but i mean its gonna be costly and time consuming.

You would also need axles for that transmission, plus change the fuel delivery system from return to returnless, but im not 100% sure of the fuel delivery.
