hi guys!


i have 08 lancer es and i am second owner


first owner done the exhaust


this es has 2.0 engine with non-turbo which is really.... slow and front wheel drive


i would like to do something like turbo or stages etc. . something like that


my limit is around CAD $5000 ~ 6000


i live in toronto


if anyone can tell me what i can do with my lancer es


please !!!

My advice: don't bother and start with a better platform and 5-spd minimum. The cvt won't like the turbo

yes if i have more money to get other version of lancer i love to do that but...


i don't think i can get the other car in next 2years at least...


so is there anything i can do with my lance for performance upgrade?

Not sure performance-wise as I drive my gf's 09 ES and its auto as well and I can tell you idk if there's much that can make the thing perform as well as you'd hope. The 2.4 lancers would give you a little more oomph on the butt dyno but otherwise id save your money for the next 2 years and start with a better project car and you'll have your budget already at your disposal to go ***** deep in the build lol

You could upgrade the suspension a little bit and make the car look and handle nicer to have some fun on curves but you shouldn't expect to be taking any SIs at any stoplights.

well yea i was driving v8 touareg with ecu tunned and now driving 2.0 v4 makes huge different. but this car is way too slow.


hope i can find trade or someone who have done something with 08~ES models with performance upgrade =P

Hey i really like how you lancer looks. I also have a 2009 ES and im looking to do a few things to make it look nice. What size wheels do you have? Do you have side skirts? Is your car lowered?

As far as beginning mods go i would invest in either a good suspension setup preferably coil-overs or try doing full bolt-ons with a good tune. Depending on what you're trying to do with the car does play a role in what you want to do. That's just me.
