Funny thing is that we've been told that since the Cedia platform arrived in North America... and yet a very few handful of people tried anyway. And I'm with you in saying that it is way too hard to do for pretty much everyone.

Are you going AWD?

Well I used the IV because it was a lot cheaper, and I got Trans and T-case with it. And I knew getting into this that if I use this platform there would be a lot of custom mounts and such that would need to be made but really I don’t mind I find it fun. And No FWD only :P

The fabrication is not the problem. Making sure the car runs the way it should is. I've had mine running for almost 2 years and I'm almost to the point where it runs like a 'stock' car should. Keep in mind that I emphasized stock... it really isn't stock but I have resolved most of the issues with my swap.

Yah I know, that’s what has me worried. Fabrication to do this swap is kind of mindless to a point I think anyone could do that part it’s the electronics involved that’s the PITA. I got a pin out of the Evo 8 and my lancer and I used the Evo 4 harness to cut and use the correct terminal ends. I just hope the sensors are the same. And the ones that are different I will be buying new Evo 8 ones to replace them. I also get to tackle speed density with this swap so I know I’m going to have lots of headaches.

Ok, so i had a buddy take a look at the car for me since I cant right now. While doing so he and another one of my friends decided to work on it since i was not there to stop them lol. "not complaining" good guys. They let me know some of the small fitting i needed to order. I have the rest of the fuel lines and fitting I needed, all the exhaust tubing and muffler, evo 8 tb, metal to fab up a lower front sub-frame ''where front motor mount sits'' hood pins as i had to cut out center radiator support bar for turbo fitment. lug nuts, clips to be able to put the sideskirts back on, evo axle c clips, fittings for oil feed are all on there way. Parts that I still need to get that i can think of are

Evo 8 ecu [x]
Aftermarket fuel rail [x]
ID 1000 [x]
Tial Bov
Tial 38mm Wastegate [x]
Speed density kit. [x]
Radiator hose [x]
Evo 8 belt alt belt tensioner or evo IV tensioner [x]
Alt belt [x]
Evo 8 rotors [x]
Caliper Bolts for front Brembos [x]
Air filter and piping to turbo
radiator overflow tank
2nd Pcv Canister
mini battery [x]
And the dang fitting that bolts to evo oil pan in -10. I have ordered 2 and both have been wrong >.< [x]
fluids [x]
turbo support bracket ''custom'' [x]
spark plug cover
Camshaft cover
dip stick tube mount

And random misc stuff removed or painted.

When i get back next week we are starting on the exhaust and subframe. once that is done i can finish installing the UICP. Once i find someone who can weld SS in Cincinnati area for iat bung.

There are a bunch of other little things i need to get to have it driving around and still all wiring needs to have the final check done on it. But as of now this is where it sits. If anyone is selling any of the above parts hit me up as if i have the cash and its the right price who knows. Will be posting pics once i get back.
Also i noticed i had not updated with pics in quite some time so here are a few newer ones.

The new turbo hx35 compared to old IV turbo

The new hotside I ordered so she will spool a little faster

Test fitting turbo with 1g eclipse mani

The reason i had to cut support. That is with it cleared some but in order to make it not look so hacked together and for radiator clearance we just removed it.

Interior all back in minus a shift knob which i don't have o and the carpet is cheap Wal-mart speaker box carpet no weight and looks decent just need floor mats.

So, been working on it pretty much every week since I got back from Japan. I have both test axles evo 8 ones with destroyed knuckles in and they work. The angle is more than I would like but that is just cause me not thinking mounted engine just like and evo. And as we know there lca move the wheel and inch forward... so my axles are not quite right but will work. 02 lancer oz 4g63 Build-lancer-axle.jpg

also got the hood latches in and wow that was not fun. would rather make custom brackets all day.02 lancer oz 4g63 Build-lancer-3-me-drilling-normal.jpg yep that hood will leak now. 02 lancer oz 4g63 Build-lancer-1.jpg bumper and wheel just sitting there in pic. Also cut the front bumper opening down a little more to allow more air over the intercooler. no pic of that sorry.

02 lancer oz 4g63 Build-lancer-engine-oil-feel-line.jpg oil feel line. and radiator mounted in. *note the bracket on radiator is just for now going to fab one up that sits correctly.

And i ordered the last of the fuel system parts i should need. id1000 and AEM fuel rail. along with the stm fuel pump rewire kit. Thoughts and and input welcome.
