Yeah LOL I've nearly high centered my car before. The douch that was plowing the snow didn't plow our parking area at work and I was forced into about 10" of snow

Couple of questions: How much vacuum hose do I need & what diameter? Also, do I NEED to swap my fuel pump to a walbro for 5psi?

Stock fuel pump is more than enough for 5psi. As for vacuum line it depends on a couple things. Stock evo 8 bov uses 1/8" line and the evo 9 uses 1/4". If your using some aftermarket bov then you will have to bring it down to the store and find out. If your going to have a mbc I know my forge unos uses 1/4" line. I would get 6-10' or more depending on where your going to be routing everything.

Cool. I got a evo 9 bov I'm so close yet so far LOL All the little things are slowing me down. Also 03lances I read every single page of your build over the weekend. Was pretty informative.

OK, so Good job on boosting your lancer. Some Questions: Why would you go for target of 5 psi? You will not really feel that much increase in power. You are going to do a lot of work and just be disappointed when you finish and take it on your first run. A manual boost controller will not be that accurate to give you 5 psi all the time. In-fact it will probably raise your boost more than anything. I run stock internals with 7-10 psi and I originally had a mbc to try and keep my boost to a max of 7psi but it would spike above 10 sometimes. Now i just run the forge waste gate straight up with 7 to 10 psi spring and it does not spike but gets my spool going faster and boost does not go above 10 psi. it feels great when i go WOT and holds more consistent boost. You should really Get the fuel pump and run 7-10 psi. 440 injectors if you feel confident you can tune it or take it somewhere. I tried the 440's with ecuflash but found that the fmu did the same thing and I saved more on gas $$$$. Just some things to think about. I have had my lancer boosting for 4 years or more now and have only had to replace the manifold because it had developed some cracks,(drilled out megan mani).

Haven't boosted my lancer yet but I'll defiantly take your advice into account. My current plan is to run 5psi for now and up it later. The wife got a new jeep. So internals won't be for about 5 years LOL. I'm still putting things together. I hope I can get a tactrix cable next to get a hold of the logging and stuff. I'm getting closer each pay period to boosting LOL. All the little things are slowing it down tho. I still guestimate I'll have everything on by October and tuning thru out the winter.

I know how it is man. It took me a little more than a year to collect parts and research the build. and than the install budget ran way deeper than i expected, but at the end, It was so good to have it done. It's almost like you are having a baby and you have to wait 9 months but you want it out NOW. You have all kinds of questions and fears but it will all be worth it at the end. I am always available if you have any questions. More than happy to help out another lancer guy.

Thanks man! I'm still gathering parts but have most major parts. I'll be put up a build thread when I start mounting parts . With the wealth of information and fellow lancer members I don't anticipate too much trouble. I defiantly want to put the parts on before it snows here. Last year we had a lot of snow and this years weather has been moist as well.

Totally know what you mean...No EVO yet...not saying at some point I might upgrade or add one as a second vehicle. But I do love my Boosted Lancer ....

So when you say your working on a new kit....Are you per say hinting your close to adding Boost to yours... That would be SWEET. Always room for another in the family

Been working on boosting for a while and then decided to go a new route. You can look thru my thread (its not as long as the others LOL) and see my progress. The 04-06 lancers aren't as lucky as the 02-03 lancers beautifulpunk is working on the kit. His work is awesome. Its basically a custom manifold without the custom price. He has a lancer and if you need any parts hit him with a PM.

Man, bye. I'm not even going to attempt to explain how wrong you are on so many levels.
