If you have high milage on your car and are comfortable with relocating your Mass air flow sensor, then I would go with the AEM intake, it yields very good TQ numbers which is far more important. That said, the INJEN intake makes very safe power and will give you a 3-4 TQ gain and a 9 - 10 HP gain.

For cold air intakes, that would be your two best bets. Note (AEM states that their intake for the lancer is Manual only, but you can install it, you just need to make your own bracket)

What about those ebay intakes? Has anyone had any luck with them? Or pretty much stay away?

If you are going to spend the money, go with something that already is dyno proven on your car (injen is tested on your car). I used to have an injen intake on a KA24DE I used to have and it did the job just fine.

Good luck! How is your Lancer coming along?

Don't buy from these cheap ebay intakes, stay away from them. Injen and AEM are good choices.

ya pretty much AEM and INJEN and i think K&N are the only intakes that would do the job, and i heard you get the most of a K&N
