Intake system for 2011 Lancer DE

I've been looking to buy a K&N Typhoon series short ram intake for my 2011 lancer DE 2.0L, but everywhere I look I only see short ram intakes for 2006 - 2008 models, same engine type and everything. I'm just wondering if I were to buy a short ram intake that says its for a 2006 lancer, would it still fit and work properly on my 2011 lancer de?

Get a Takeda or Injen CAI (cold air intake). Better than short ram.

I personally have the Takeda one and its been awesome, plus you don't have to clean it or replace the filter constantly.

I live in an area that can rain quite a bit sometimes though, and I'm worried about the CAI sucking up the water and hydrolocking my engine. But I know that you can get a hyrdoshield or something? or even move where the air filter sucks the air in from?

The Takeda intake comes with a heat shield, so it does a really good job of blocking water and heat out. Looks like this:

I find it difficult for water to just get in lol
