Boe's Fastest Lancer.....

Quoted from Boe's Featured Ride Engine Mods
larger throttle body, JE pistons, RRM clutch / pressure plate set, B&M short shifter, RRM test pipe, header, Magnaflow exhaust, RRM LSD, and the RRM Non-Intercooled turbo kit w/ Greddy turbo timer, VDO boost gauge, and boost controller. Boe also had the rods shot-peened, the head ported / polished / matched, and the intake manifold bored out as well.

How did all this turn out? Boe is now the fastest US Lancer OZ, that’s how! With a 13.82 ¼ mile at 101MPH

Now...can that possibly be faster than a Lancer with the RRM IC kit, the t.b. full turbo-back exhaust, running like 9psi?

just curious as to how fast his car really is compared to cars with similar mods with an IC...does the ported heads and intake mani really add that much?

I mean, stock we do 0-60 in like 10-11 seconds, Guru's Auto RRM IC Turbo is now in 6.5 seconds 0-60....thats 5 seconds quicker....stock he's doin 17.2-17.8 1/4mi..he can't be far off of high 13's...could he?

just wonderin..thanks for all the help guys

no, i'm pretty sure you will not be faster. also boosting at 9psi your going to need internals. stock ones arent going to last you long. basically like everyone says, its all about the $$$$$$$$. internals and fuel delivery are a big key.

yes you may beat that however Boe is now Intercooled too and is boosting close to 11 psi so you still have more catching up to do

put slicks on the front and you can drop it .5-1 second depending on what you pull currently

It'd probably cost around 7-10 grand for the swap alone, plus you'd have ****ty weight distribution and an assload of torque steer.
