Hey All Turbo People!!!!!

lol.

we have ALL these turbo'd lancers, and we got Guru's 0-60 of 6.5sec on an IC Auto.....

i wanna see 1/4 mi times of all you guys out there!

im sure the 150 socal lancers with t/c'rs could get a drag strip day in....im sure its much better than icy roads and 15degrees outside there lol

but alas....im sure most of ur drag strips are closed...but i really wanna see some slips from all these turbo lancers..whether RRM Turbo, RPW Turbo, Custom..whatever, i'd like to see some slips NOW!!! lol

ok im done....im sure this will get deleted, but if u got a g-tech or any kind of 1/4mi device configured properly or can goto a strip...get some slips...PLEASE, make this lancer seem worthy of turbocharging

better yet lets see some dyno numbers.
Then we don't have to worry about driver or traction and we know the actual output of the vehicle which is much less biased. It's pathetic how few dynos we have... sad sad sad.

My car would probably run a 3 month 1/4 because it's not running and will probably take that long for my rods to arrive and to install everything. It's never run properly. Ask anyone in the region who's met me why I haven't run my car (since pretty much everyone asks). The response will invariably be "When it's tuned properly".

I may be able to get it running right this spring as I think I may finally have gotten to the root of the problem.

dynos would be good...only dyno i know is the RIPPMODS Supercharger....and the Auto Non-IC RRM Turbo....

any other dynos out there of recent? Im sure if i dug through 1580 threads i could find one or two..but searching "dyno" or "turbo dyno" or the likes u get 1580158 threads that have no info....kinda like this one, lmao...dyno's would be good to...but i'd like to see some 1/4mi slips as well with the dyno..not a dyno..than u add a few mods than the 1/4mi...thats not fair lol

EDIT: I only ask because i'd like to know how well our car takes to a turbo/supercharger and see if its worth spending all the money...i don't wanna put 10k into my car to make it fast and still be in the 13's... lol

hm 10k and still be in 13s, well if you invest 10K into purely performance parts and nothing else, it is possible to break into high 12s, i think the lancer is very capable since the only one we know of (boe at 13.82) ran that on a non-ic setup, so the possibilites are endless. i know its not a dyno but im 99% sure that i will have over 200 whp very soon.

you need to just go with a tuned ECU and forget the S-AFC. never been a big fan of them

13's is respectable. Especially for an econobox. I'm happy my RWD car can run in the 13's.

As for how well a car can take a TC is really up to how well the engine is built. Mitsu didn't anticipate the car to be a turbo motor originally, so the pistons aren't forged materials, and neither are the connecting rods.

One other thing that some people don't take into consideration when turbo-ing a car is the bore and stroke. The closer to an equal bore/stroke you get, the less chance you have of spinning a bearing. For instance with the engine sitting in my car, the SR20DET, versus a turbo-ed KA24DE (stock engine for my car), the SR will outlive the KA because of the stroke values. The KA is more apt to spin a bearing due to leverage problems.

I'm not sure if that problem has ever been addressed on the lancer since it's stroke is 95.8mm and it's bore is 81.5mm.

All in all, if you build an engine to be a turbo engine, the possibilties are endless (almost)

there is no auto supercharged car..

onyl one person has a supercharged lancer and he was at 207whp after tuning....this was also at like frickin 11psi on the supercharger....on all stock internals...crazy ****.

anyways...im very aware that the pistons in our car...our the best quality ever made....lol

i just want to see what all the people running 5-6 psi are running down the strip at, and dyno's are good to

i just wanna know if i turbo my car and run say 6psi....how much MORE i have to do to eat v8's lol

Most will tell you that it is hard to get a FWD drive car into the twelves. GST's have a hard time doing it with many mods. With enough time and money the correct set up it is possible however. I would say most of the cars here that are charged would be pulling 14's. I know James's Lancer with 10k invested and tuned properly was hitting that 13.82. I dont see many lancers as tuned and running as well as his (IMO). The agian they dont have the shop support like he does hehehehe.
