How fast does a T3 spool on a 4G92?

Anybody with a T3 on their hands?

What rpm do you get full boost? Either on a 4G92 (1.6L) or 4G93 (1.8L) SOHC Engine?

I just got myself a T3 and i'm thinking of installing this on my baby...

Full boost is going to depend upon what the wastegate is set at. In 3rd gear and up I'd hit boost cut (5psi) at around 3,500-4,000rpms. Given the state of my car and the extra displacement though, I don't think it's the best basis of comparison.

EDIT: BTW, it's also gonna depend upon what compressor trim you choose.

i guess a t3 won't be a good choice for a 1.6L sohc then...

Dont let them bully you into not using that T3. Sure it is a little laggy and it feels like someone dropkicked you square in the *** when it finally comes on, but I feel that its OK, especially if you dont have a lot of money to waste on buying another turbo. Plus there are a million t3's out there and parts and flanges are common and inexpensive, relatively.

Hey man, thanks for the support. Do you have pictures of your t3?

I got the t3 from a silvia, anyone know what trim this has?

Theres an old thread that I had started last fall and it has some pics on it. I ran out of time and college and winter came so I had to put it away for the last 5 months. I learned the hard way on mine too, never install a used turbo without rebuilding it first, mine smoked like there was no tomorrow.

hi arilinevomitbag,

geez that was long! (your name)
well i got to check the old thread, your T3 is huge!

i got my T3 as they say, from an S13 Silvia, it has a marking of 16V on the compressor side.

Is this really a T3? It does have a T3 flange...

Sorry dude I am not the one to ask to identify parts, if it has a T3 flange I would say it is a T3 or T3/T4. I dont quite get the crompressor trims and what not.

Ayt, thanks anyway. I just opened it up and cleaned the compressor housing, the exhaust side is a bit stubborn and i could not get it to dismantle.
