charminsoft This has been covered elsewhere. Your MAF sensor is sitting in a bigger tube so it is sampling less percentage of the passing air compared to when it is sitting in the smaller stock tube. The ROM MAF calibration needs to be increased to compensate for the larger MAF tube i.e. reflash the ROM with altered MAF calibration. Surely a well marketed company like Injen would have warnings all over the packaging telling people you cannot simply bolt these parts on without the likelyhood of killing your engine?

hey Jajk. thanks for the response. sorry i couldn't find the older post. but injens website states in the product description that, no additional tuning is required. so I'm not sure what i did wrong. i cleaned the MAF, the throttle bottle and havent even went over 3000 rpms. its weird.

Well there you go..... Injen tells lies that may cost you your engine. At wide open throttle, it can only takes 12 seconds to burn your exhaust valves if you are running excessively lean. If you install one of these pieces of bling and do not re-tune, this is exactly what will happen to your engine.
