R/C or Vent?

What is the advantages or disadvantages of either..
1.) Having a Recirculating BOV or having one that vents all into the Atmosphere?

2.) Moreover, will the HKS SSQV work with the RRM turbo kit? what would i have to do to make my turbo kit vent all into the atmosphre?

u heard that particular bov has trouble fitting with the RRM kit and requires minor modification, but the Greddy - Type S works really well.

I don't know about lancer turbo kits, but a VTA BOV on an Evo will cause idle problems because the MAF sensor is misreading the air coming in and it overcompensates by making the car run too rich..

i havent heard anything about that for the regular lancer and i think there are quit a few people on these forums that have their bov venting - so we shall just wait for them to respond.

respond i will
i have my type-s vta, it has a maf just like the evo so it will have the same problems with stalling but its not bad, it only happens if you shift at a high rpm blow off and dont get it a little bump on the gas before it goes back to idle. if you just shift and put it in the next gear its fine. i have had mine die a few times i never even notice it.. sounds good too

If you want to run a BOV without having any problems, you'll need to have a MAP instead of MAS (the MAP reads air pressure in the intake manifold, instead of metering air as it comes in the intake). I personally prefer to recirculate because you don't have any quirky idle problems and you get a slightly better gas economy.

On a stock ECU recirculate. Unless you're SO keen on the sound that you don't mind the extra fuel consumption (minor), stuttering and stalling (fairly major). In that case...whatever puts a grin on your ugly mug.
