Well i have been working all week on installing the fifth injector and controller but i am waiting for some hump hose from road race and a boost switch to activate controller. I just haven't had time to post my parts list plus i wasn't really keeping track of all part # used either but i will give it my best shot this weekend to come up with one for you guys. I bought cheap *** hose couplers from home depot and they already got torn, from swelling and getting warm so i advise against that for all of you who might be thinking of doing the same. I hate waiting for parts in the middle of a project it really sucks. well i will keep you all posted on how it goes.check out some of the new picts i added of interior all black leather with yellow stiching and alloy pedals and alloy shifter.

well i finially got the switch and hose, got it all in stalled and was about to go run it but was having problems with how sensitive the controller was to other electrical interferance. In the mean time i decided to tweak with some other things while we worked on the controller issue. The first thing i decided to do just for the hell of it was to turn the boost up to 6-7 psi. I thought that it would probably just run leaner but to my amazement it actually started to run richer to the point of getting me into the range of .90-.96 o2 voltage. I guess maybe the rising rate regulator needed a few more psi to really make it work properly. Well i was still concerned with how my timing was acting so i decided to datalog an oz lancer with no turbo. Once again I was amazed to find out that the timing does the same thing on the stock car. So i guess to conclude the story i finially got it all dialed in and man does the wife like it. I would be lieing if I said I didn't like the way it all came out also. Well good luck to all you other do- it- yourselfers.

I decided to turn the fifth injector set up into a water injection system. I have a few things to change to get it to work but I was thinking the extra insurance wouldn't hurt. Besides i had to put that injector controller to use after spending so much time on it. I have seen it work well on some other dsm's that run low 11's. Well i will keep you posted.

I have a friend who just made a custom water sprayer for his IC (WRX), it looks real clean and it's so cool to have another button that helps the car when it really needs that surge. Will you run it off a reservoir or from the washer fluid? cause I heard the anti-freeze aspect of washer fluid helped keep the IC even cooler.

well i think you are talking about a sprayer that sprays directly on the outside of the intercooler. I am talking about spraying it into the intake pipe before the throttle body. I might build an intercooler for it in the right front corner but still tossing around the idea.

spraying water "On" or "In" the intake pipe, I've gotta assume you mean on.

Wow .90-.96 o2 voltage that is kinda rich, however if its consistently around .92 that's about where you want to be with stock internals.

What's the duty cycle at 5000 rpm? If your maxing out your injectors, you can't tell by the o2 voltage. It'll still show a rich signal even though the injectors are above .80 duty.

Just something you might want to keep your eye on. Anyway congrats and good luck on your turbo.

when I build mine I plan on useing a liquid to air intercooler to cut down on all that air pipeing. that way the air can go directly from the turbo to the intake

no i mean in the intake piping right before the throttle body. look up water injection on the internet and you will see more about what i am talking about. As for the liquid to air intercooler they work really well as long as you keep the water cold. Not all that practical for a daily driver because you will have a hard time keeping the water cold, but good idea for running at the track. I will be keeping an eye on everything for the next couple of months just to make sure nothing bad starts to happen.

Well just to update had some problems with home made header. Mainly because I used cheap mild steel exhaust pipe that eventually cracked. I spent this last weekend redesigning the set up and came up with something simular to road races but a little different. I spent some money on heavy gauge steel. I think i will have alot better luck with this set up. Check out the picts.
