hey guys i am selling my system and i dont know which subs i should get im leaning towards, tha mtx 9000, alpine type x, pioneer premier, or tha w7's

That's like asking what car should I buy. We'll all say Evo and then you'll ask if it can tow your boat. There are many good woofers. The enclosure and the amplifier have more to do with performance than just the sub. How much trunk space are you willing to give up? How much real power do you have? The W7 could be the best or the worst woofer to buy. If you don't have a lot of power @ the odd impedance of that woofer it won't perform like it should. To me that's like buying a Fiero and making it look like a Countach, all show & no go. Give a little more info Army.

I am going to get subs for my ride as well. I was thinking of 2 JL 12w6 subs. I used to know alot about subs and which ones to get back in the day, but now there is just sooo much to choose from. I want a relatively small enclosure. It doesn't matter if it's sealed or ported. I listen to mostly Rap and Hip Hop, but overall I really listening to almost everything. For the most part I don't want a ton of bass, but at times I want to reach for the amp remote gains and blast the BASS. I am also looking for a good amp for my subs and 2 sets of seperates. I want to power the subs with at least 350 watts RMS each, and I want 75 watts RMS x 4 channels for the seperates. Any Ideas?
