Hiding nonflushed headunit

I need to rig something up to cover my nonremovable jensen dvd headunit. Its not sitting flush and sticks out just a little. I need some ideas on how to design something to cover this unit when Im not using it

I bought a dremel yesterday, but I need some advice on what to use to make this cover for this headunit.
!
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

PS, this cheap jensen dvd unit is the bomb. No touch screen. which I dont care for. Gots dvd, vcd, mp3, radio, 2 a/v's, and TV! Also got 3 year warranty plan for $39.99

Very happy with purchase

yea the screens are the most expensive part of most DVD/nav systems.

Not exactly what you're wanting to do. You say you want to design a cover for your DVD player... if it sticks out putting a cover would just stick out that much more... I'm assuming you don't have a removeable face plate with it or that would be simple to just take it off when not in use I don't know of any products that will clip on over the top of a head unit to cover it up but good luck with that.

Still have the stock POS radio? If so, take the face off the radio. Super glue all the buttons on it so it looks functional and use it as a cover so it looks like the stock unit is in there.

Exactly!

I did this in my Jeep Grand Cherokee a few years back. Very simple to do and it definitely looked it's part. Some people were shocked when I'd get in the car and grab the face plate off and there was an Alpine unit staring at them where a stock radio appeared to be.

I was just hoping to make a cover for it instead because my old kenwood had a hideaway option and I really liked it.
