FUSE Chart

Need a quick reference on the fuse setup. Searched first...so I apologize if a repost. If you know off the top of your head...which fuse runs the h/u, and does it control anything else also?

OK...found my Own. Manual. So I'm trying to replace the radio fuse...no 10A replacements...the listed fuse location in the manual is behind the little storage thing on the drivers side...no fuse in there...so under the hood, go to check the radio fuse up there...can't get it out because it is coupled with the overhead light fuse in some sort of housing that doesn't look like it was meant to come off....in trying to get it off, I removed the ECU. Having no luck, put everything back, and went to get a fuse pulling kit.

To my surprise, the radio was working fine...1 problem, I lost my SubW controls. Any ideas, or things to troubleshoot?

if the subs on a seperate lead from the battery, check that fuse (obivous, I'm sure you've already checked that), check all the connections from amp to controls..

I'm not sure how it is you removed the ECU while trying to remove the radio fuse, but that's not a problem. The radio fuse can just be replaced, but as I recall that "special housing" you're talking about is just a different type - not a standard blade. I'm not looking at mine just now, so I can't say for sure. Anyway, if it's broken, it will look like it and you can match it at an auto parts store.

And if your radio's working, then the fuse must not be broken, so don't bother. As for losing your subwoofer controls, what do you mean by that? If you lost the ability to control the subwoofer from your stereo, look in your stereo manual for why. If you lost the ability to control the subwoofer from it's amp, then perhaps the amp's fuse blew? If not in the amp, there should be a fuse in the circuit that goes to the amp for power (I hope!) and check that one. If none of this help, describe better what your problem is because it's really not clear what the circumstances/symptoms/etc are here.

Got woofer controls back, the pre outs had to be defined in the head unit controls...and you couldn't do that without doing it in "standby"...

thanks for your help. It seems like pulling the ECU gave it a kickstart, still not sure why I lost power originally.

by 'ECU' are you talking about the large green block in the under-hood fuse box? that's just an ECU relay, actual ECU is behind the glove-box, under the dash...

I recall some company doing reflashes, but I don't believe anyone on here has done one yet. Someone out of Cali. And of course there is RRM's piggyback unit, and there's always a standalone system, if you have too much money that you don't know what to do with it

I always assumed that the there were just two parts to the ECU, both in the dash and under the hood. But either way, there was an ECU reflash available from RRM before the piggyback and it ended up costing them too much for too little interest. Now, the piggyback fulfills the same position in their line-up. They're different, but both have different advantages and disadvantages. The most important advantage is of course that the piggyback is available and the reflash isn't.

reflash is available, not from RRM, but I'll dig through and find it, it's just that no one here has it, or at least no one has posted if they do.

EDIT: found it quicker than I thought I would
