Best budget company for sub box?
bandpass boxes are bad a$$ if done rite the only thing is there huge and very hard to make if u want to put 2 10" in a lancer the box is so big that u need to make the box in two pices and put it in the car and then put it togethere the rest of the way also u need to cut a hole in the rear deck lide so u can put your 8" round port through the deck lid ur prbely saying y there u see on a bandpass box the sound comes out of the port not the speaker so what u do is port the sound frome in your trunk in to the car right up throug the rear deck the sound go's through the port and bounces off the rear winddow wich gains u 5 more DB by the way with bandpass boxes u dont need a big amp a friend of mine has a truck with 2 10" in a 5 qu ft box and a 600 watt amp and hes hiting 170 db thats loud

A good way to make a custom shaped fiberglass enclosure is to get some chicken wire, shape it into the hole you want the box fitting into, then pull out the chicken wire frame, and cover it with fiberglass.. then cover it again and again, inside and out.. you'll probably need at least 5 layers to make it sturdy enough, and I'd personally go for more. when you have your outermost layer done, cover it with wax paper while it's still wet, and the surface will come out nice and smooth, minimizing sanding.
another method is to throw saran wrap over the surface you want the box to fit over, and use it as a mold, laying the glass right on it.. the saran wrap will protect the surface, and once you get a couple of layers, making it sturdy enough, you can pull it out, and add more layers, retaining the original form of the trunk, hole, etc.
