Stereo Problem

I installed (first time installer) a new Pioneer HU and Infinity Kappa speakers (front and rear) and I just can't get it to sound right. It sounds as if there is hardly any bass (weaker than stock set up) and the treble is loud, ear piercing. Before I tear apart the door again, I just wanted to get some suggestions.

Thanks for the help.

make sure all your speakers are in phase with each other... 'specially the rear speakers, if they're not in phase, the bass will cance, and you'll be left with just the tweeters screaming at you.

I have the infinitis except I have the reference, one thing I notice about them is that the highs are extremely clean and crisp, but if I have the sub off for some reason I don't get much bass out of them at all. Now im sure mine is set up a little differently if u dont have a sub, because I dont want bass coming out of them but thats just what i have noticed

yeah the tweeter is pretty harse on those, if the phase is right as Sassmaster already suggested then look into adjustments on your HU/AMP
