greddy bov doesn't sound like a greddy bov

watsup everyone. Anyways, the sound of my bov has changed a total of 3 times. My Greddy Type S bov was my first mod, and when i installed it, it pretty much sounded like the bird chirping... but not that loud bc i ddn't have a intake. Few weeks later i get the RMR intake, and it made it ALOT louder, but more of a swoosh sound. You couldn't hear it too loud in first gear when i drove normally. ANd It would sound like a bird whistling when i barely let off the gas. Well today i added the RMR intake (induction) pipe, and now it sounds straight up SWOOOSH or KSHHHHHHHh. Still has the tiny bird sound when i let off the gas. But i did get the sound back in 1st gear.

Plus ever since i added my Intake, my intake is so damn loud at high RPMS (ex. 6000-7000) that its hard to hear my bov.

OKAY so anyways.. i thought the Greddy Type-S was supposed to sound like a laser/whistle/swoosh/pig squeel. Yah know? but now its basically just air. Is it possible im leaking? i have no clue.. CAN OTHER GREDDY TYPE S OWNERS TELL ME HOW THEIRS SOUND.

So, you are running the large spring only right? OK the high pitch chirp is increased when you tighten the adjustment screw on the top of the valve. I have found that 9 threads from the top of the nut was too soft with almost no chirp. Then down to 6 threads was very high pitch (probably where you want it, but too much for me). So I keep mine at about 8 threads out. Becaose of your MAS pipe you may have to crank it down a little more than I did.
