Just installed Cusco twin carbon clutch

The car feels great, and picks up without any hesitation at all. It does chatter a bit, but I can deal with it. Aside from the clutch, my car is completely stock.

I broke the clutch in for about 500 miles, and since I've only done about two launches (both via slipping the clutch from about 5k). The launches were both great, and I even spun the tires on one of them. Right now, I'm kinda affraid to drop the clutch simply b/c it grips so hard (don't want to break anything).

Should I continue to utilize the slip method for the launch, or should I change to a drop method? Should I change my launch method as I add horsepower?

Never "drop" on and Evo... there is no need... esp with the clutch you now have.

The best way to launch an evo is just like a high performance street bike, chase the clutch with the throttle, and hang the ---k on

i'm thinking of getting that same clutch, how much and where from? and is it a big difference from the stock one? mine is gone, and i need one asap... and will this hold up to my "dumb@$$" driving and launching? i had 20K Miles and after 4 consecutive runs at the track, it's gone it slips so bad that i didn't think i was gonna get home... it reves to like 6500 then it starts moving.. anyway would apreciate an answer thanks

I went to the track friday...
(The worst track you could imagine + my tires are shot)...

I rip the hell out of it...
I make sure to get it warm, inching the car forward to state @ 4K rpms...
Then I rev the hell out of it... 6K minimum, take the clutch out just abit... Rev it when the lights about to go... And go full throttle.

I launched my first time out over 7K...
Once I go to E-Town w/ my new tires... I'll take it easier.
