Just picked up...

A set of Ecplipse SC8264 components for $200, can't wait to get them in and see how much better my stereo will be.
linkage

FWIW if you have a cartoys nearby and are looking at getting some better speakers, check these out, they're on clearance right now. And get the 2 year replacement warranty, doesn't matter what you do to the speakers, if they stop working, cartoys will replace it with the exact same thing, brand new, or whatever model replaces it (sometimes a much higher-end model too)

OMG they sound so so sweet! I love the way that my system sounds now, what a difference it makes, all the highs are crisp, the mid-range is excellent, and I can have my sub completely handling all of the lows thanks to the crossovers this set comes with

I know what you mean...once I got my MB Quart 6.5 installed ( https://www.evolutionm.net/registry/....php?mid=19919 ), hell yah. You visit the CarToys in Tigard, or that a little far for you? Been a while since I've been "home" to check things out.

ok ok, I'll go out to my car and take pics of those, word of warning on the woofers tho, they are a little too deep to fit by mounting them to the metal of the door panel, I had to make some wood blocks to stand it out almost 3/4" so the window would clear when rolled down. I'm going to work on some MDF rings as a permenant solution, but for now, that fixed it.

tweeters yes, but if would actually take time to read my post, I had to fab up some spacers, the woofers are too deep to fit straight in the door panel, need to be bumped out almost 3/4"

The set I mentioned above had no problem with depth. No special adaptor, just a few extra holes to drill, ya know. Plus, I used a different location for the tweeter mounting. I like the flush look on the door personally. Also get an additional set and running those in the pillars. Man, the sound is awesome with just 100-200 watts.
