ported if done right can be good. i like sealed because it gives you nice tight bass. ported effectively doubles the loudness because of increased air movement, especially if you lower the rear seats. but the bass is somewhat sloppier. sealed is best in my opinion.

Spray adhesive, like 3M or something, it is some really sticky stuff.

If I get some time yes but let me warn you this is turning into a somewhat expensive/ major time consuming project for 2 sealed boxes.....carpet was $20, wood was about$25 for a 10x4 sheet of 3/4 mdf the liquid nails was about $10 for how much I used....and then the more expensive part was renting the table saw for cutting the angles etc.... that was $60 for the day and required a $500 deposit.....so all in all about $140~ with tax but it sounds really freaking good plus when I get time im going to make the carpet "connect" with the trunk carpet since I still have it in their so it looks flush. On a side note when I took my rear seat out it felt damp so this project might be on hold if I got a leak……Lets hope not and that water just dripped in from above me while wasn’t paying attn since it was wet outside….Also this is kind of on hold till sat when wire I need 2 relocate amp comes….otherwise ill keep u guys updated….I kind of also want to take back comment about price considering I am doing this on my own and every shop I went 2 for a quote said $400-800 I think im doing pretty darn good for saving money.

i think my college will let me use the wood shop for free, so that should save me some $$ but i'll probably end paying more for the MDF cause im sure i'll screw up a few times

thanx for all the info, seriously any and all information given is appreciated

Looks nice but are you sure that your JL's will have enough room in there to hit hard enough you probably know that each sub has a recomended box size to allow optimen sound and bass. but all in all it looks very nice

I may be new but you were once new also

Leave it to a noob to mention pre-fabricated boxes in a thread for custom boxes.
