Custom Side Mount Sub Boxes

Very smart idea to keep some trunk space.

EDIT: Space some carpet scraps underneath the CD Changer mounting bracket. It will help shield some resonance/vibrations from the subwoofer.
May not be necessary but it definitely will not hurt.

If you're at a loss for space, and feel like doing just a little more work, making fiberglass backs for those boxes would be a good way to gain some airspace. You've got quite a bit of room there to work with that your current box doesn't use.
Just a thought from a guy who considered doing almost the same thing. (Only reason I didn't do it is the subs I chose just happen to have a mounting depth that only a little short of 9" So that made the side mount boxes a definate NO GO)

i have something very similar to that i will post pics in a bit gotta go take some
difference is i have 2 amps mounted on the sides and i have 2 type r's facing the car, better sound that way and a lot less rattling inside the cabin
