Stock HU with Aftermarket Sub
Stock HU with Aftermarket Sub
Is there an easy way to connect the Stock HU on our cars to an amplifier.
I know there's no RCA outputs on the back but is there an adapter or something that might work. I've seen some people do it but i don't kno how.
Sorry but I'm a total Noob when it comes to this area.
Thanks for any help.

i wouldn;t recomend this idea but thats my opinion considering most aftermarket hu's come with the rca jacks to make your life easier.
yeah theres an atapter you can use, its called a Hi/Lo adapter
Anyways it takes your speeker output and changes it into RCA output. Can be found here
I don't recommend doing it as it sounds like crap. You can pick up a good HU for less than $200 so do your self a favor and just upgrade the whole shabang

I ran this set up a while back. I ran my subs on the stock HU, went to best buy and had them install a rca adapter to the stock HU and then was able to connect my subs. I think they charged me about 40 bucks to have it done. In the end i decided to get an alpine deck and now i actually hear the songs clearer rather than on the stock HU where is was all bass and it wasnt as clear.
