I have two Blaupunkt subs 4 omhs 600watts each got for really cheap $70 for the pair new, that was back some time ago. Well last weekend I got a new headunit a Pioneer DEH-P8600MP for $200. Now this is where you guys and girls come into play I don't know jack about sound systems and what kind of amp to get? A 2 channel , A muilt channel or a mono amp I've look and look and look all i could fine is what band people liked more. So could you me out please. Does it matter what kind of muisc I listen too, if so rap and some metal.

If you're looking just to power those 2 subs, then get a mono amp. Best bang for your buck; plus, that what the mono amp is made to run...subs.

I second the mono amp comment... you can get a seperate mulitchannel amp for your mids later if need be...

 

Best bang for the best bang is two mono amplifiers, one for each sub. It allows for less strain on your electrical system, and may be more cost effective/powerful in the long run. I have 1 L712 with an ALPINE MD-1005 and it slams like a 15 with 1000watts. My 2cents, go with ALPINE amplifiers.

No matter how great the speaker, it is only as good as its AMPLIFIER!

 

I'll check out Alpine for an amp? And by mids you mean the front and rear speakers???
