http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/232777.stm
that link out .... stand back is all I can say.

EDIT: Mods I know it may seems a little off topic but ... at the same time, it is actually about car security.

The same inventor Charles Fourie has another security device under scruitny the breaks the legs of the would-be carjacker. I guess instead of fire, two giant stainless-steel bars mounted under extreme tension swing out from under the car on both sides. Breaking the shin upon impact and hurling the assailant or assailants feet from the automobile. I prefer this too the flames since fuel to refill would be expensive, however either method leaves a person crippled for life.

that's ****ing awesome. if someone is malicious enough to jack your car at gunpoint, why shouldn't i be able to protect myself with flames of justice? hey, they deserve it. if they don't want to be burned, don't carjack.

You might call them the "Flames of Justice" but I'm sure the court wouldn't see it that way. Personally, I carry my security, and I pray it's never gotta come out and bark fire.

Carjackers.
