system pics

These are PSD files for photoshop, I'll try to convert them tomorrow when I get home to my PC. borrowing a laptop now.

Here are a few quick bad pictures of my setup. Here are the kickpanels, they use the hollow door sills along the wheel base as an enclosure and are welded to the car. The 2nd pic shows the acrylic tubes that are my "grille" lit up.

Here are the tweeter mounts in the pillars. I took time measurements so i could have equal arrival time with the mids in the kicks. They are 1" tweeters that are playing down to 910Hz.

You should post these as "jpg"s. More universal.

Here is a few of the trunk. Amps are in the well built into valve covers, a cf hood covers them. A 15" sub is free air, mounted to an aluminum baffle bolted and fiberglassed to the car behind the back seat. The battery was moved to the trunk in a custom aluminum box. The entire trunk was repainted to match the car and all parts bolt onto steel plates that were welded to the car and threaded.

This is the console where my AEM display is. I have no extra gauges as this will display everything you can imagine and has warning threshholds that flash led's in the cluster and the console.

I only see the console pic...but it's pretty small. Are you going to convert your other pics that you posted, so we all can see?

Looks cool. Different with the valve cover idea....unique from what I've seen so far.

It's all about the sound. I did something different in the trunk because I was bored ofthe usual install, didn't want to add much weight, didn't want a sub enclosure and had some really cool equipment to use. I used the valve covers for amps because they are magnesium, lighter than aluminum and we have technology that allows them to run cool. It just sort of evolved from there. The A pillars are not 100% finished yet and I may change those tweeters out for a new prototype soon. Trunk is getting a digital processor and a custom alchy tank.

Bill, I have a lot of interest in how you time tuned the tweets to get ariveal to match the mids... are you using a signal processor to retard the release of the tweets? Also what slope are the tweets falling off at and what freq. I am looking to mount mine in custom door pods but thats a very tight area for 6.5 and 1" soft domes, plus I know the sound path isn't clear... damn cars, should only have one seat in the center...
