I have LEAP and a few other analysis programs. Definintely nothing you could DL for free and you would need many parameters of the speaker that you obviously don't have for accurate enclosure modeling. I wouldn't expect it to perform much better than a good 6.5" car speaker in the door unless in a proper, large ported enclosure with enough power to drive the likely higher impedance speaker.

Not to hijack, but.....

Hey Bill, I'm not sure what you are referring to in this post. Are you saying that you wouldn't expect the 6W0 to perform much better than a good 6.5" door speaker? I am running mine in a very small, sealed enclosure and powering it with 2 bridged channels of a JL 300/4 (approx. 150+ W). Believe me...it offers quite a bit more than a good 6.5" component. If this is not what you were talking about...nevermind.

Not at all, a 6W0 is not a random home speaker with little excursion or power handling. It is purpose built for giving good bass response in a small package. A 6W0 has a very limited use and really does't appeal to many consumers. i have found that the depth of that speaker requires building a box that many inexpensive 8" subs will work well in. You can get lower response and more output. This means that custom installation techniques are used in very limited space when 6W0's are used. This means it is priced out of the range of 99% of the consumers out there.

I do get 43hz out of my 6.5" in my car. I don't use a HP xover because they roll off naturally very smooth. They are not in the doors and aren't a speaker anyone can buy so they are not a viable option for anyone to consider either. I did cut some big holes in my Evo after all...

well it doesnt sound like this is going to work because i dont know if the website i found is even the right qualifications and i dont know what kind of amp i could use in my car to power a 8 ohm speaker, but i still like the idea of putting in a small sub for a little extra bass, and like black03oz i dont want a sub to been seen and i definitely dont want to take up trunk space. i dont know much about this kinda of stuff and i have worked with fiberglass somewhat but dont really know that much.

where could i put one that would not be invasive?

Look into Free air subs in the deck or behind the back seat. A glass enclosure behind a rear wheel well or spare tire well if you dare works too.

Sure tons of people. I've probably taken 10 years of my life making glass enclosures. I'm sure you can find step by step instructions online if you are patient and have some experience with fiberglass. The spare tire well is probably enough space for (2) 12" subs or one and an amp. the quarter panel on the drivers side will tuck away a 10" sub very well.

Between the wheel well and the tail light on the drivers side using the empty space in the 1/4 panel.

Ahhh...I see...you were referring to the speaker that kott_tot was originally asking about. That makes sense.

kott_tot, it sounds like one 10" would do just fine for what you are after. A good 10" will give you solid performance in the right enclosure and if powered properly. Also, it won't take up too much space...i.e. the spare tire well or a fiberglass enclosure in one corner of the trunk would be a nice way to go. I'll help out with any additional info that you may need, or you can't go wrong with letting BillAce be your guide. Again, good luck.
