Damn man, go to Wal-mart and get yourself a power invertor, they are in the automotive section! Plugs into your cigarette lighter and gives you an outlet to use, sometimes more than one!! Get a decent wattage one for your PS2, I had one for a while and it had heat problems due to the fact that it has the same current draw as a home pc!!!
I have seen one a few times at Sam's Club - a 400watt, 2 outlet inverter for only $40. It looks really well constructed too - metal heat-dissipating housing and such. I haven't seen another one that compares to that for price.

i am running an Alpine IVA-C801 (motorized 7" in dash LCD with CD) and a PS2 on it. i went to the local Canadian Tire store and picked up a 400W power inverter with 2 outlets for $40 and it more than does the job. you could use a 300W inverter if you wanted, but i like having 2 outlets in case i need to run something else as well!!
BTW, passengers love playing GT3 while i'm driving!! makes them feel in the game

just a suggestion. if you only want to use a ps2 in your car, DO NOT get a 400W inverter. why? becuase its using up ALOT of your juice in your car and if your only using a ps2, some of the juice is getting wasted.
i do not know what or how much juice the ps2 needs, but im guessing it only needs about 150 watts. try this formula out to find how much wattage a ps2 needs -> watts = voltage * current (amps). There is an 150watt inverter in the market. i suggest use that.
does these make sense? let me know.
