I have a 1600 watt soundstorm amp, i went to pound my subs one day and they didnt work, i went and checked all the connections, the ground was ripped out so i fixed that, and still no sound, i tested the voltage at the amp and its getting power, but the little leds dont turn on and it doesnt work, i dont think i blew it cuz it never turned off while listening to music, help me out

 

remote turn on wire pulled out or something, see if your getting any power from it

 

If the ground ripped out of the amp... check the fuse in the amp and the fuse that you have on your power wire from the battery. Chances are it shorted out and blew a fuse. If that isn't the problem, make sure you are still grounded to the vehicle.

 

My guess would be the remote wire b/c if you did not ground it right then a protection light should come on (instead of nothing lighting up). At least that is how the amps I have work. Or it could be a blown fuse or you attached the wire to the wrong terminal.
