Pushed my subs too hard?
the wire coming off my batter isolator has a 200 amp fuse on it, so if that thing blows, well.....i guess somethings gonna catch on fire or something. maybe you should look into heavy duty fuses. it goes like wire-|fuse|-wire
where the fuse is, you cut the wire and the wire goes into this little hole, then it runs throught the fuse, then the other end of the wire plugs back into the other side of the fuse. might wanna try that?

hmmm....sounds like there was a burst of power that just blew all the fuses. only way i can think of this happening is all the power that the amp sucks out of the battery when you crank the system. there must have been some large burst that the amp tried to pull, but when it did, everything else connected to the battery blew too. thats why a lot of people run a seperate battery to their subs.
hope that made sense, i could explain it better in person i think. also kareem, on a side note, your only running 4 guage? i would think to get 0-2 guage for a system like yours. im running some crappy *** 10 guage, but im getting 2-4 guage for my subs. they dont require the power yours do, so i should be fine with 4.
another side note....i got the mp70 on reserve for you when you get the cash
lemme know when, its here

Yeah, im getting the cash for it Zeesh.
N e wayz, I was thinking about running a SEPARATE battery for my system which will be in the trunk when i do my custom setup. Anyone know how i can have 2 batteries re-charging from the alternator? Do I need a 2nd Alternator or do i need just a bigger alternator? Thanks for ur help guys

I already went through the list of things there are fuses for and made sure everything is working and it looks like everything is working good. So anyone in so. cali wanna help me build my custom setup?
seperate battery would be the way to go
i think you just need a bigger alternator, but dont take my word for it.
i hope this taught you a lesson. tone it down some!!! plus, if your car doesnt blow up, your head will

I got a couple of suggestions for you,
1- Move your remote (12v+) blue cable to your stock headunit, very bad idea to have it plug directly to your fuse box. You should be able to find the remote lead on the stock unit.
2- Get a fuse block and install it in between the caps and the distributor blocks.
3- I don't think your capacitor is installed correctly, is better if you connect your main positive wire (best if it is 4 AWG) directly to the cap and then ground the cap and install an inline fuse block in between the cap and the amp.
You don't even need that distributor block (+ or -) if you don't have more than one amp!

what could have happened is that since you used such a small in-line fuse (only 30A), it might not have blown when it was supposed to and instead fused itself back together causing a major draw on your entire electrical system and perhaps blowing more fuses. it is nearly impossible for all the fuses in the car to blow, it is usually just the main supply fuse that will go, but i guess anything is possible. general rule for in-line fuses is to take the fuse that is in the amp and add 5A or 10A and use that as your in-line fuse value
in the current setup your cap isn't really doing much right now. best idea is to run + from battery to + of cap and then + of cap to amp. do the same with the - by grounding to chassis and running to the - of the cap, then from the - of the cap to the amp. also for a single amp you don't need the distro blocks (as was said by someone else)
and having your turn-on wire on the wiper fuse is no big deal. in fact for new cavaliers that don't have an accessory wire at the factory radio harness, it is recommended to go to the wiper fuse for switched power

Thx for the advice guys, Im gonna be hooking the + from the battery to the + on the cap then to the + on the amp and same for the ground, since most people recommended this. Also ill up the size of my in-line fuse from the battery to 60A.
So no one wants to help me with my custom setup?

Yeah, thx Japandk. That's what everyone seems to be telling me. Im gonna be doing this setup when i do my custom box for the trunk. Thx for ur help guys
Still no takers on anyone coming to help me with my custom box?
