Hmmm, Hank... as Much as I'd like to say yes to ur offer, I cant. I only have $100 in the bank which is enought to get u a one way ticket to here, Lol. As for driving over there, too much gas.

Vince, Im sure ull be able to do SOMETHING... even if it's just holding something with 1 hand and gulping down beer with the other.

Today imma go buy a 80 or a 100A fuse block to replace the crappy 30A one I have in right now.

Before you go purchasing another fuse block, what are the internal fuses in your amp rated to? (the ones sticking in the side, or wherever)

asking for trouble....

never increase the reccommended fuse rating. if an amp fuse is rated at 40amps, that means past that current will cause damage to the amp. the fuse is designed so that if the amp tries to draw more than 40amps of current, the fuse will disconnect and shut off the amp. if you increase the fuse rating, you are just allowing the amp to draw more current than it can handle and cause damage. if your amp's fuses are blowing, it's a sign of improper wiring or other problem. never increase the fuse ratings.

I appreciate ur concern, but I think we miscommunicated. The inline fuse that is on the 4 gauge wire has been upgraded to 60A not the internal AMP Fuse. The Internal Amp fuses didnt blow, just all the fuses outside of my amp (the ones in the dist block, the inline fuse from the battery and most of the car's fuses). Im gonna go play around with some wiring in my car now, l8erz

Wait what ever u do dont run the remote to the lights very bad. If the fuse wont hold when there is a mass amount of energy and the fuse blows well guess what ur lights are gone and instead of just getting fussed blown u will get busted light bulbs. Dont run remote to lights. What u can do kareem is find the reomte wire from ur stock hu and place ur remote wire there or just wait until u get an after market hu. True i also suggest u get 100amp fuse for the batery wire and 60amp for the distibuter block.

another thing this happened to me when i had two sony explodes on a band pass box before i had my audiobahns but anyways i was pusing my system to the max and guess what all my fusses blew cuz i only had a 30 amp fuse on the power wire. When u start running more that 500 watts i recomend u get 60 amp or higher. For performance i would sugest 100amp. As far as connecting a second bat to the trunk there is no problem keeping ur stok alternator all u have to do is run the wires back there too. Well hope this helps

Kareem, in order to have 2 batteries you need a battery isolator, thats what i have. I also have a bigger alternator, 200 amp. Go to pep boys, i got mine at pep boys for like 60 bucks i think.

Also if you want to have a 2nd battery in the trunk, you might lose your spare tire, at least i did...

charles: the fuse that you put inline isn't gauged by how much power you think you are running. as i have said before look at the ACTUAL maximum current that the amplifiers can draw and up that by 5 or 10 A for the inline fuse. if you just go and throw an 80A fuse inline with an amp that only has a 30A internal, then the inline won't do anything at all to protect your car which is why it's there in the first place. and with only 1 amp in the car then a distribution block is unnecessary.

also, the ground from the amp should be run to the - of the cap and then from the - of the cap to the grounding point (chassis or back to the - battery terminal). this helps to prevent any noise that may be apparent.
