Too Much Sub power for the lancer??
All that a cap is really good for is cleaning up your power (without one you can hare a whine in the speakers at higher rpms) and to handle the spikes in power usage. The RMS power of your amps is the true draw. You need to find out your average amperage draw and go from there. You need to know the average use of the car itself plus the average draw of all of your accessories and then get an alternator that produces 120% (min) to 150% (Best) of that draw. There are many websites out there with formulas to figure this out.
I am in process of installing a pretty kicking system, but it has been one hell of a learing curve. Trust me, do your homework first and you will be much happier with the results.

lol, if you turn up the bass gains on that 1400 watt kicker amp your gonna shake your car so hard its gonna start losseing bolts. I had 4 12's in a rodeo and my roof flexed about 6-8 inches when it hit, and my back right door would randomly pop open (I got t-boned, that was after the fix, no so professional)
