Thanks for the info, I'll check out the sites you mention. Again, great how-to. I've done a bit of work on the interior installing a cruise control & running a wire up the dash pillar/windshield for a radar detector, I have to say in terms of trim at least this car seem less well put together than other cars I've done similar work on, like my '91 Sentra SE-R. A lot fewer screws & a lot more snap together stuff (or "clips & claws" as Mitsu calls them). I have to wonder if everything isn't going to really start to rattle after a year or so, with all these snap bits, especially given the car's firm ride.

I have trouble with my pass door rattling too. If it gets real aggravating I'll get something to stop it, but for right now it's not bad. I get my stuff on e-bay....only brand new stuff. A lot of people with mass amounts of equipment like to sell on e-bay. It could be a gamble but I haven't gotten burned...knock on wood.

yesterday, i had a new challenge.

i took out that pair of alpines and replaced them with a pair of Infinity Kappa Perfect Components. Thing is... the comps are 5 1/4's (only got this cuz i got a good deal on them). anyways, i had to make a mounting plate out of ABS installer plastic. it was an interesting experience, but i pulled it off quite easily.

hey, i actually don't have any pics of the component install (sorry). the crossovers i just placed inside the door behind the speaker. it's not directly behind it, it's off to the side. at first i had troubles cuz the window would hit the crossover when it came down, but, i fixed that up.

no new wires to the deck. the tweeters you just have to run wires to from the crossover, it all depends where you place everything. but, with just regular coax door speakers there's no extra wire running.

no, you don't NEED an amplifier. but, if you want it to sound the best it possibly can, buy an amp for the speakers. you can always just run it without an amp first. if it's not clean enough for you, buy an amp.
