I think I blow my subwoofer in the trunk
I have a GTS with the 650-watt audio system. Has anyone else had any trouble with their subwoofer in the trunk. Mine started making alot of static when I had the punch level turned up. It finally faded out and does not play now. Carried it to the dealership to get it checked, they said they could not find anything wrong with it. I don't think they checked it that closely.
I probably take it back out to the dealership and show them it is not working.

I've seen cases at our service department that people have blow their subwoofers. First and foremost, if you have your punch level up at the highest point, before you walk into the dealership to get it checked out, you'd better adjust that setting. People have tried walking in with blown subwoofers and the audio settings show that they have the punch level cranked up to the max. If you push anything too hard, it will blow. My service department has been 'goodwilling' these subwoofers for now, but sooner or later, it's going to come to a head. Just giving you guys a heads up.
I dont think this sub is pushed too hard
they are designed to handle what ever is thrown at it. RF doesnt make crap in their standard line so long as you dont push them beyond what they are designed for.
when rockford put this package together for Mitsu, they allowed for a proper distrubition of power thru all the speakers and a balance the sub. sup was pushing probably 1/3 of that total power.
and its a 10" to corp Mitsu and RF the replacement cost to them is not much.
plus the car is brand new lol warranty is completely valid if you have any problems take it to corp and tell them you read your manual thru and thru. Have them put it in writing why they will not service it.
I am sure the GM of the dealership wont have the ***** to do that unless he has a valid point.
Let me know how it goes
Cheers

Im betting you blew your sub... I think there is another post somewhere about guys having there subs blown also RF subs aren't a bad sub but they probably didn't put the top 10" sub in this car. So i would say take it back tell them to switch out the sub and listen for them selfs
If the sub wasn't working at all in your car and it worked at the dealership then there is probably something else wrong. (Carried it to the dealership to get it checked, they said they could not find anything wrong with it - did you take the sub out of the car?) Leave the sub in the car and show them it doesn't work. It might be the amp or wiring.
