Sub help...
Can someone explain the difference between a 2-ohm and a 4-ohm sub, i cant decide which one to get, im getting a rockford fosgate power series 1 and it comes in both options. It'll be running on a power 1000w 2channel amp.
http://science.howstuffworks.com/question501.htm That pretty much explains it for the most part. The lower the ohms the more power you will have. Thats just a general rule of thumb.
no a 2 channel amp would not be 1 ohm stable, it would be 2 ohm stable if its a good amp
optimal conditions are 1ohm stable amp with a 2ohm DVC sub wired to 1 ohm
most people go with 2ohm and some go with 4 but with 4 u draw so much power for it its not worth it
