Lightbulb Alpine setup all hooked up...

Finally got everything setup sound system wise that I need. Had a local shop (Cool Cars in Louisville, KY) set me up with a custom pod in the trunk for the sub, along with a stealth floor for the amps. Also pods for the rear doors. Left the deck speaker holes as is for porting on the sub into the cabin.

Running all Alpine setup. Wife isn't too pleased... says its too loud. The only thing I plan to do now is swap out the battery for a Kinetix one instead and upgrade the alternator as well.

Open to comments.. positive or negative.

P.S. Also hooked up my light kit (PlasmaGlow SuperNova). I know I will get my good share of comments of how Ricey it looks... But thats okay... something for everyone.

Logo and amps

Yes... the logo diamond pieces are actually separate and can come out to show the amps underneath. Think about doing plexi there instead but not sure about the heat and if it would warp the plexi. On the other hand... the black logo has that pop effect.

My key thing was that I wanted to keep my trunk space... family man so its a balance between the kid in me and that role. The lid lifts up or can be removed to expose all the guts... lift that up too... and the spare is still there.

Yeah... I made the mistake when I bought the head unit and a set of 4 sony 6 1/2"... to let a local Best Buy install it... wires hanging here and there. Looked like crap. Not saying all Best Buys are like that... probably just this guy. Took over to Cool Cars and they tucked it all up. From then on they had my business. All there work is clean and tight.

Yep ... actually what happened, ticked me off, the fronts apparently fit good, but the backs didn't... and they simply bolted down with two bolts... rattled like crazy till I found out that they didn't use an adapter. Swapped the rear deck out with some Pioneer things that fit right. So for awhile I was mix and match.

Later took them out and dropped in a bazooka sub and it was okay... but not what I wanted ultimately.

So over the past year, balancing house payments.. getting swimming pool for the wife, etc... I bought the Alpine pieces I wanted. What I wasn't sure was how exactly I wanted the trunk to be setup...

So kept my eyes open here online at EVM. Printed a bunch of pics off and dropped it off at the shop for 2 days while they worked out the setup. One I was running for about a week or so after it was done, turned around and sold off the old speakers and sub.

Pretty content now... though I gotta get my alternator rewound or replaced, like asap... then drop that new battery in that I mentioned earlier.

Carpet...

All materials and supplies provided by the shop that did the work.... I know a lot of guys would prefer to do it on their own.... but I am more than content to go to a quality place that knows there stuff and let them do it.... reaping the results is good enough for me.

regarding alternator ... off topic a bit but related

Thats pretty much what I have been reading... I think our stock one is about 85 amps.. I think someone said. Some have had theirs rebuilt to push about 120 at idle and around 140 at 2000rpms.

Does that seem to back up what you have heard ? I have to do some calling around tomorrow, but what do you all think that will be in cost roughly and downtime for it to be completed ? Also... can the stock voltage regulator/fuse/wiring handle the additional amperage ?
