2008 amp install (pics)

Hey, just installed an amp that I had laying around into my car, and also replaced all the speakers with alpine type r components in the front and type s 6.5's in the back doors.
Here's a pic of the current amp situation:

It's needs a few minors adjustments, but otherwise it works pretty good.
The base of the amp rack is on a hinge which allows it to fold up and down.

I made everything myself.
As for the speaker install, I had to take the old ones out and modify the factory speaker mounts to accommodate the new speakers.

Sounds WAY better. Get a way better bass and clearer sound all around. I've only wired in the fronts to the amp right now, and was thinking of maybe bridging the 2 rear channels and putting a 10 in the trunk to the right of the amp rack. I figure that way it should fill the trunk nicely.

Is it hooked up to the stock HU or did you swap it out for an aftermarket one? I have two "10" subs installed to the stock HU but I need to swap the door speakers to get more voice during those more bass heavy tracks. And did you change your tweeters too?

Added Alpine Type R components to the front, so yes I swapped the tweeters aswell.
Still using the stock HU aswell.
I am considering adding a small sub too, maybe an 8" or 10"

Thanks for the info. Add the sub if you like bass, but be ready for things to start rattling all over the place.

I managed to make a box that will fit a 10" right beside the amp rack.
