My parts should arrive towards the end of the week, but im going to attempt to post what those wires from the radio are labeled cause im fairly sure im going to have to hard wire my new radio....

Well i attempted my install today but couldnt finish due to the lack of sun light (lol thats what i get for starting at 5:30pm) but anyway i have most of the car mapped out, the only real thing that threw me off was the front speakers are or where running off the same two wires? but all in all i should get done with it sometime tommorow, ill have step by step on how to do an 2 Din install and what wires are what... any help would do me good guys, thanks.

Yes, ive found all of the wires but the system sounded horrible on the the stock wires so i went ahead and rewired the whole car using street wire speaker wire, and replaces the stock door speakers with Infinity component speakers. As far as the power and ground wires, i just used a test light and a volt meter to find those. The only thing that took some time was making the outer ring around my head unit and filling in with plastic and running the new speaker wires to all of the doors. Next im going to cut so 6 x 9 into the back window area of the lancer. Ill post pics as soon as my lazy *** can afford a camera.

 

How many speakers are in the car? Are blaupaunkt speakers any good?

Depends. If you have a regular GTS then you have 6 speakers. Front doors have 1 tweeter and a mid-range woofer each. The back doors have a coaxil speaker each.

Blaus are a step up from stock.

 

Thanks for the info, they are having a BIG sale and I was going to get some speakers. But i'd rather not get some cheap sounding ****, even if the price is tempting.
