the best place to put a xover is as close to the speakers as you can. if the components are in the door, try to find a place within the door panel. if you can't find a place (which i know for sure you can't) then mount them on the back of the fold down seats. there isn't really a way to conseal them unless you do some custom trunk werk. also, going stealth isn't going to be acheived by your set up becasue if theives pop your trunk, its usless to go "stealth" on your xover anwho when they will see your other gear..

The crossover for my Infiniti Reference 6000cs components in the front is in the door. I put it toward the front of the car in front of the speaker, where there's enough room between the speaker, the front of the door, the panel, and the window. Just enough of a flat surface to get one hole drilled through and holding on tight to the crossover.

Anyway, it's possible - just takes a bit of work and probably a few misses with the drill, at least in my case.

Mounting the Xover in the back would be kinda hard for me, Not only i dont have room to run my wire,#set of tripple shielded rca on the left side.monsterpower cable on the right side ,and i dont want to run my speaker wire on the same side as my power wires.in worry of sound qt. plus..it will allso cost me alot more money. Considering the twisted pair speaker wire im using runs for $1.25 per foot monsters cable
i wuold need 12 foot each for left woofer and tweeter,16 foot for my right side.plus about 35 more feet for my back compoinent set

mounting in the door is kinda hard, My perfect6.1 Xover is alot bigger then the Infiniti Reference and Kappas.not only is it bigger in side its allso thicker. Im allso worried about rattles if all u can hold them down with is 1 screw,if they even fit inside the door that is. Even with 2 screw i think they will pound they way out some how, Im running 125 watt rms to the front. Its dynamated and everything but.. i allso have to consider the way I toss my evo around ever coner i can. If like i hate My EVO.

Have any of you guys consider installing them in your glove box?
Or the arm rest compartment?

Hmmm, try under a seat, glove box, or in the arm rest compartment? I found a good place for my Xovers. I have seen them in glovebox before but not in an armrest compartment.

Well, I'd suggest still opening your door panel and looking around for something appropriate. I know there are several other places I could have put them in there. For example, once you pull it off, you find that there are foam or plastic pieces on the door panel that are effectively only there to fit into complementing holes in the door itself. Trimming one of those pieces may afford you some room to put the crossover between the door and the panel.

And where I put the crossovers, there was room for a larger one and I probably could have gotten another screw in with a little time. It's just very difficult to work inside there and I can't imagine ever breaking loose with only one screw - they don't move at all.

My new crossovers are far too large to stick in the door, or even any semblance of near the door. So I'll be putting them under the seat. But my old crossovers were stuck up under the dash, one near the deadpedal, and one on the passenger sidewall.
