easy upgrades to 2008 gts rockford fosgate system?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the audio setup in the sun&sound package on the 08 gts.
But... the bass doesn't have that heart-stopping, rumble-in-your-chest thing going on...
So, any easy ways to upgrade the current subwoofer without needing to upgrade the power/amplifier?
Ideally, I'd like to put in an identical woofer in the back - two nice 10" Rockford Fosgates would be sweet.

I have ZERO experience with audio systems, but I at least got the subwoofer out today, dismantled it, and gleaned the following part numbers/info:

Rear housing: # 8720A042
Front housing: # 8780A001
Number sitting on the top of the housing: # 7H327W
Number sitting on the inside of the housing: # 7H324J

Subwoofer itself:
Model # 393987, 75W/75W, 1.1 ohms/1.1ohms

Google only offered two page on any of this info, one which was in Russian, and one which dealt with Hyundais. And I don't know how it got me there in the first place...

The wiring harness has four wires - I'm guessing a positive, negative, and two sound inputs. Maybe? Could this be split and a second 10" woofer put over on the right side of the trunk?

Someone be kind and help a noob, please!

those model numbers are most likely for mitsubishi parts, and it may be a custom sub made for the Lancer from RF. but, from the info given, it looks like you will need about a 100 watt sub thats dual 1 ohm. and my guess is, you will NOT find a sub thats dual 1 ohm and only 100 watts! the 4 wires are probably 2 positives and 2 negatives, 1 each for each voice coil. what you would have to do is find which positive goes with which negative (same channel) and wire it to each voice coil on the aftermarket sub.

good luck!

Thanks for the fast replies!
So you're saying that each voice coil = 75W? I could get away with 2x75W subs?
Or 2x100W subs?
I guess I just assumed speakers were like light bulbs, and you never wanted to go over the present wattage for fear of burning something out.

So... any ideas on how much wattage I could go for without destroying something?

RF new amp lines are rediculously small and give more power than previous lines with less consumption, if not mistaken. i've always enjoyed my RF amps...just my 2 cents.

Are yours stock or did you beef them up?
Yeah, this is by far the nicest sound system I've ever owned. But... I can't help but dream about more bass. Heh heh heh
