Hey, I am planning on putting a tv in the compartment below the ac. Anyone already done this? I might use the headrest monitors or jus the regular ones and hook up my xbox. Let me know what you think?

 

I am trying to get headrests also, but our headrests suck and we cant get anything wide screen in the headrests, I am looking into getting wider headrests and making them fit, getting them re-leathered, etc, and then putting 6.5'' widescreens in them, and in the visors. I dont know tho, I will let you know when I find some more info out about sizes and all that.

 

its hard to get a good angle using the cubby below the tv, the tv's picture is hard to view.

I'd say get the conversion to make the lower cubby into the head unit, and put the screen where the stock h/u use to be. thats what I did.

 

if anyone has an fm modulator to play their sound through the stereo, let me know what kind it is and how well it works.

 

i installed a screen and dvd player in my buddy's 03 accord. he has full navigation with stereo so he was scared to touch it. all we did was buy a BOSS "wireless" fm mod. everything works perfect, and the sound is excellent. the only thing we noticed, is when the motor is running, sometimes there is a slight/hardly noticeable humming sound that comes from the speakers. you cant reall tell though. i think it has something to do with all the electrical systems in the car. anyways if you want, since the lancers are so basic, and easy with stereo.... you can just buy a regular modulator and connect it to your stereo antenna plug, which then splits and re-connects to your stereo. either one works. my buddy's turned out really good. he paid $40 for the wireless, and i think the basic one is like 30-35 bucks.

 

So i guess your not selling your car anymore Zapco? I would go with a tv like Zapco has ( in dash ) or get one that comes down from the above the rear view mirror. Someone here has one there.

i've added 6.5 monitors on my headrests... i had to modify the bars inside. i know that 5" fit perfect but thats too small. i've also added a monitor right below the ac. i also did it for my friends lancer but it was harder because it was an auto and the gears get in the way.

 

I have a flip down screen and I am planning on doing the same with the lower din but Im not sure if the dash will get in the way of the screen. but My FM Modulator is an Audiovox from Cartoys and it works great
