new system!
well its no SPL system, but itll do for what i currently want lol. its an American Legacy 300 watt RMS amp and a Hifonics 300 watt Olympian Warrior subwoofer. the subwoofer I got brand new, but the model itself is like 5 years old
but it works fine! the amp actually pushes a lot more power than I thought, almost blew my subwoofer tuning it! definitely does what I need it to do for now, which is just give my car some bass, not overwhelming bass and WEIGHT like my old system, although i really do miss her
the box is custom built by me, with a 4" wide, 20" deep port (it curves around into the box)! huge for a little single 12" sub, but thats what the tech at hifonics said I should do, since there were no specs that came with the sub. im still deciding whether or not I should carpet it, since its not a very high quality system, but it would look nicer.....opinions? enjoy!

all those wires on the right are more RCAs for my 4-channel amp that should be here tomorrow
will look nicer when im done with that install.

yes, I have a purple subwoofer

So I installed my 4-channl amp today. man was that a lot of work!
IMPORTANT NOTE: IF YOU ARE INSTALLING AN AMP TO POWER DOOR SPEAKERS, YOU MUST CONNECT THE SPEAKER DIRECTLY TO THE AMP WITH NO SPLICING TO THE CARS SPEAKER CONNECTIONS. YES, THIS MEANS YOU MUST RUN WIRES THROUGH THE BOOT TO GET INTO THE DOOR TO THE SPEAKER. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL INTERFERE WITH THE CARS LOCKING MECHANISM, AND LOUD SCREECHES WILL BE HEARD WHENEVER YOU TURN THE CAR ON OR OFF AND YOU WILL HEAR THEM WHENEVER YOU TRY TO LOCK/UNLOCK YOUR DOORS.
I had to redo each speaker after it was all done, it took about 2 hours to do just that
but now it works like a charm!
