i have aftermarket speakers in my rear deck, and am pretty sure that they aren't stock size, not to mention, had a crappy install done on them, but i was curious what the stock size speaker was. i think that is has 5 1/2in now, but it seems like it should be able to accomodate a 6 1/2 in.

They are 6 3/4. I had to make adapters to get my 6 1/2 CDT Audio's in the back and doors. There really aren't any high end 6 3/4 speakers...

Get some ABS plastic sheet and outline your factory speaker on it, then measure a 6 1/2 diameter in it. Then cut it out and use some tools to smooth it out. Fits perfectly. GL

 

I've got 6.5" coaxials in the rear of mine... used the stock speaker as a template and made an mdf ring out of 1/4" mdf wood and then cut my 6.5" opening... used the stock speaker screws and stock locations to mount it all in.... nice and easy.

 

how did u put speakers in the rear shelf in my 08 i got crappy baby seat fitting plate and want to know how to remove it.
