so i decided to finally do something i've thought about doing for a long time. I finished this a couple weeks ago but never go around to putting it up on here. I have a pioneer p4000-ub head unit. It has a usb port cord in the back and before i just ran it into my glove box but i knew that just wasn't cool enough. So i bought a dock off ebay and tore my ashtray up. I don't smoke so I don't miss its functionalities. It's a pretty cool docking station or mounting thing.


the mount was to big to fit in the tray by itself I had to take it out of its white shell and grind the crap out of it. I also had to dremmel the crap out of the ashtray too, to make it flush and close. i like it. I'm getting the iphone 3g s and this will be a way coool charger.

its kinda messy looking, i tried to cover it in this carbon fiber looking contact paper i bought at autozone... looks a little better.

 

does it stay in place when going over bumpy roads or doing wot pulls on the road, id hate for my iphone to get cracked if it falls off

 

pretty much only moves if you mess with it or touch it.
