Ok I set everything to exactly how you asked. Then I turned up the bass on amp gradually. Eventually I was at 18dB but I had no bass from the speakers or the subs.... like almost nothing at all
The only thing is, I can't crank it up to 75% volume, I have a sensitive ear and it hurts.
I'm thinking the subs and the box both are garbage. The only chance I will give this setup is sealing the ports and see if that makes it better. If all fails, I'll just use the amp to power my 6x9's and be happy with it.

I'm on to sealing it. Just had a look at the construction of the box and it's all stapled with no glue at all. So air was probably going through all the joints and THEN the ports. I'm sealing all joints on it and also the ports.
Just so I don't make it worse, should I seal one of the two ports per sub first?

I used the calculator that you linked me to earlier and it turns out, the volume of the inside of each portion would be best sealed. Of course, since I don't know my subs, I took specs from the subs that I like and may even get soon. I provided link in some earlier post for those pioneer 10 inchers.
Anyways, I did done sealed it all
And I AM LIKING what I hear. It got dark so I didn't change any settings, so the amp is still at 250Hz, which I'll probably lower a bit but now I've got a lot more punch, quite significant bass and much more solid than before. I can tell the difference when I turn the amp on and off. No distortion at even higher bass and higher volume than before.
Now, I played different kinds of music, some R&B specially the songs I've been playing to test the system and it's all good. Here's a question though, after good half hour of running the system on my batteries, I touched the positive wire going to the amp and it was absolutely cool, then I checked the amp itself and it was warmish but from what I can tell, amp can get rather hot. Does this mean my amp and wiring is sufficient? Perhaps what I'm trying to ask is if I were to get those pioneers, would my amp run them? They are compatible specs-wise.
On the other hand, I kind of slipped my gun while putting a screw in the sub and made a hole in the lip part of the woofer
But it's still running good.

Thanks for the help! I've learned a lot but there's a lot more that I don't know.
So what should I get next, front speakers or new subs?
Subs: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=390065354429
Front Speakers: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=300330787602
My OEM fronts are barely making any noise with the whole setup. Before when I had all OEM stuff, my fronts were pretty much all there was to it but now they are too small as compared to the rest of the system.

hmmm i think id get front speakers first lol but i HIGHLY suggest getting components for the front. little more money if you get a good quality brand, but well worth it!!

I bought the pioneer D series over the components. Ive never really been a big fan of components. The thing you really have to remember is that if you do buy coaxials, only one tweeter is necessary. Those coaxials that have like two or three tweeters on them, all theyre doing is blocking bass. IMO I just find components to be a hassle. Just get a good coaxial and be set. As a suggestion, I highly recommend the pioneer D series, and it has an internal crossover to separate the frequencies.
Coaxials are not regular wire speakers, correct?
Honestly, I'm not sure how much I'd want to get components, I would like a speaker that essentially can just run off my stock cables and whatnot and just be plug n play but give better sound.
My 6x9's are running on stock cable and they are amazing.

coaxials are the speakers that have a woofer and the tweeter comes up through the middle, just like any regular speakers really. I recommend the d series as they can run on the power from your deck, sound fantastic, and have an internal crossover.
