Unhappy sub wont work...sometimes...

alright...I tried to get answers at one of my other forums, but nothing seems to really work...I know we have some really good audio guys here, and I was hoping one of the experts could help me out. I'll save the trouble of typing it out, and just do this

thread

read the whole topic, (aside from the rejects who clutter the topic with useless $hit), as there have been new---"developments"---since the problem first occured...

you guys have been great in the past, let's see if I can get this whole thing workin out again...thanks in advance...

EDIT!!!: since I've concluded that my sub is working, and not "broken/blown", disregard the comments on buying new ones. I'm just interested at the moment in fixing my current setup

thanks for the reply... was the wire loose at the amp or...um, wherever else it connects? gee...I feel extra noob-ish today, I don't even know where the remote wire runs too...

the remote wire runs off the back of the head unit to the amplifier...usually its the blue wire with the white stripe that is the remote...cheack to make sure both connections are good. also the lead wires that go into the sub's coil might be broken....when the touch the sub will move but as soon as they seperate again it turns off. no way to fix that really...just have to get a new sub.

borrow a friends sub if you can and hook it up to see if it actually is the sub.
