Are these speakers good?

Someone at my work says they have some "Boston Acoustics Pro series" speakers that are 6.5 and then some tweeters too. He no longer has a car since moving to Chicago and never used the speakers.

Are these good? He says he would give me a sizable discount (less than 100$ for all of them) and paid a lot more. They are a couple years old.

Good?

Does he have the crossovers as well?

I wouldn't pay more than $80 for them. Used speakers (especially older ones) are more likely to blow.

Boston Acoustics are one of the best car audio speakers out there. if they work fine and all is well, definitely take them, less than $100 is a STEAL

Hey I was reading about crossovers. Can I put them on the memphis speakers that I have? Memphis 15-PR62 and/or an amplifier?

crossovers are for speaker sets where the woofer is separated from the tweeter, and are on completely different leads. you cant just buy a crossover for a regular speaker, but yeah you can amp them.

Crossovers are for every frequency, not just component speaker sets. Nakamichi has been selling variable crossovers for decades now. They range from 30hz to 20khz.
