I have used this in my 2002 Lancer OZ rally...I gave it to my shop to have installed with my viper 5701 alarm

My only gripe is that sometimes I have to push down on the trunk in order for the solenoid to fire properly. Make sure your installer gives you another button inside to open your trunk because after the solenoid install, my trunk level no longer worked

trunk release is a little tricky on our trunks because of the emergency trunk release inside the trunk lid. you have to remove that to install a trunk release solenoid... at least i did... it works great and my lever inside still works too. you shouldn't have to disable the one inside the car on the floor.
