alternator upgrade

ok before anyone bashes me about "searching" im on this site almost everyday searchin for upgrades and problems. heres my thing this is the smallest car ive ever owned and with the most electronics, power everything, so i installed a system in it yesterday. 2 12" subs 1200w ea and a 1000w amp, i know most systems pull alot of juice ive been dealing with systems a long time. heres the question has anybody used the 120amp alternator that can be bought for our cars, and has anyone had to upgrade their alternator wire? this system lowers my idle and dims my lights bad!!! i know a capacitor will help some but they can only do so much, which i will install one soon. i usually never buy anything but o.e. and usually aftermarket alternators suck so if anyone has used one let me know where you got it if you can and any issues you had. i love working on cars but im not wanting to change alternators every week. oh im running 4ga power and ground wires. thanks for any info

I actually bought one of them and never ended up using it but the ebay seller i bought it from had great reviews . Reason i didn't use it was because i ended up just having a ground cable come apart from its connector .

all my cables are intact and not sure how old it is im sure i need to change it. i can put a bigger cable on it no problem but i only want to buy one alt. so really i just need any bad feedback on the bigger aftermarket alternators before i buy one or if the caps really work since ive never needed to buy one, since my wife drives the car most the time i dont want her on the side of the road ya know.

i have a 2004 lancer ralliart and i bought a 200 amp alternator from ebay. was skeptical but when i got it and installed it i havent had any problems...lights no longer dim. ebay seller was powermaxusa. he has alot of lancer stuff on his store from parts to replacement headlights..check him out..alternator was only 220 bucks for a 200 amp alt, not bad..direct bolt on with no issues.

Is the alternator for 2004 compatible with the 2002 OZ Rally? I'm wanting to avoid purchasing the wrong item.

the easiest way to check is cross both models on autozone website see if same part comes up

Check out Brand x electric alternators they're pretty sick there's also Mech man alternators look into running Northstar AGM batteries for backup power or potentially a small lto lithium Bank
